I walked beside a brook today;
Its music swept my soul away—
Back to the days of childish truth,
That fleeting season of my youth. I sat beneath a tree so tall
And knew I knew not truth at all.
I walked beside a stream once more;
Its song unlocked a hidden door— Into a future still unknown,
Not yet revealed, not yet shown.
And there beneath the sky so blue,
It was enough that Someone knew.
